Fitness Photography With Smoke Bombs

The one and only Shawn McCallum, who is a men’s physique competitor who just started dabbling in classic physique.

Shawn was six weeks out from the Vancity Showdown weekend, and wanted to have a little fun with colored smoke bombs. Obviously I thought this was a great idea! We shot these in a riverbed in the small “community” of Beaverdell – there was not another soul in site, so we could take our time and get several different looks.

Started on the trail going into the riverbed.

Then to the riverbed! First, we fired off the red smoke.

Then green and yellow smoke.

And lastly, blue smoke. Shot these in a completely different style – dark and dramatic. You see, there was a big storm on the way, so it just made sense!
